Why did we decide to rename GetHeroes into ZELIQ?

Why “Getheroes” at first?
GetHeroes was created early in 2023 by Dorian (CEO, ex-Hivency co-founder), Victor (CTO, ex-Pumpkin co-founder), and Guillaume (COO).
As CEO of Hivency, Dorian created a successful company of more than 130 people. In 2021, Hivency was sold to Skeepers (PSG Equity). He worked for a while in Skeepers, but after a while, his heart lay in entrepreneurship, and hence he decided to venture into a new business.
Since Skeepers, Dorian has joined several companies as a board member / business angel and identified the same pain for almost all of them: the lack of an outbound culture.
His previous success in reaching a 7+ million euro ARR in revenue was mostly achieved through an outbound sales strategy.
Along with this pain and his passion for sales, he first decided to create GetHeroes – a business development outsourcing company. The idea is to provide clients with the most well trained business developer who can sell anything through cold calling. Initially, we wanted to call the BDR “heroes” and companies would “get” them from us, hence the name GetHeroes.
What triggered the name change?
The initial process of building the company was to hire the best people in the market. After this is done, we then sat down together and did more in-depth research. We felt that the salestech space is growing at hyper-rapid speed and that AI will change the way we do sales.
We realized that we are going to be a part of something bigger & more powerful. Thus, we decided to pivot to creating a sales platform empowered by AI that will revolutionize the way sales reps work.
With this, our mission is to “Empower sales teams by revealing accurate prospect data and turning them into clients”. As for our vision, we want to “Create a revolutionary sales solution that every company need & love.”
We also want to make AI our main focus, and this idea has been very well received in the market.
After a while, we felt that the name “GetHeroes” no longer aligned with our new offering and value.
Hence, together with Laura (Head of Marketing), we decided to change it and come up with a name that better represents our big dream & energy.
Thought process to come up with the name "ZELIQ"
We wanted a name that is short & sexy and gives a sense of empowerment to the sales reps (our users).
A name that reflects futuristic AI technology but still represents sales.
One of the words that the leadership team loved was “zenith”, which has 2 meanings.
The first one was the time at which something is most powerful or successful. This is exactly how we want our users to feel when they use our product. The second one was astronomy-related, which is the highest point in the sky or celestial sphere directly above an observer. It means that our user has bird’s-eyes view and complete control over their entire sales process from above.
We wanted a name that represents AI, and there were several options for the suffix, such as AI (obviously), bot, IQ, tech, auto…
In the end, we went with IQ, as it has the word “intelligent” but it’s still perceived as human.
Finally, since we want to make the sales part known, but not too obvious so that it’s not limiting in case we recoup a bigger target market. We decided put an L in the middle so that it’s easy to pronounce and rhymes with “selling”.
Voila, the new company name is called ZELIQ!

As for branding, below is the explanation for our voice+tone and visual.
Branding
With the new name, we also decided to completely rebrand ourselves, as the obviously superhero theme is no longer aligned with what we do.
We needed something that represents AI in a humane and user-friendly way. A voice that represents technology companies with massive potential but is still approachable. We also need a visual that matches our voice & tone, something bold and empowering.
Voice & tone:
ZELIQ is more than just a name change.
It represents our commitment to innovation, professionalism, and passion for making sales more effective and efficient. We are thought leaders in the sales industry, yet we remain approachable and friendly to our clients. We understand that sales can be a stressful environment, so we want our clients to feel relieved and empowered when they work with us.
Visual
Visual identity is a very important process of branding as it’s the thing that a person sees first.
We want a color which is strong and represents empowerment and plus what does sales-person love the most? Money. Hence we decided to go with green.
We still want it to work with the galactic theme so our base is black & the green works with nebula colour spectrum.Colour palette with galaxy themed names for Zeliq.
As for the logo we want something impactful & strong, but yet simple & easy. Hence we put it all in capital letters in bolts, in a font which is easy to read. To represent that we are an innovative and fast growing company, we put a shooting star at the bottom.
To add elements of futurism, we had a pattern that represents technology. At the some time we don’t want it to be too in-your-face that can seems daunting to use.
Hence we added this pattern that might looks like the Matrix.
If you zoom closer, the circles represents plants and +/x represents stars.
Finally to add element of fun, we have several pattern of stars, arrows & underlines.
